Internet marketing: Why do people not take action?
I have found that there are 4 basic reasons why people do not take action with internet marketing. Fear of failure, feeling overwhelmed, procrastination and not having a clear goal. These are common reasons and there is no shame if any of them apply to you. Identifying these demotivators and then changing and adapting your work practices to overcome them is a great empowering feeling.
Fear of failure
In this situation people worry that they don’t really know how to guarantee a success. In this situation, many people would rather have an unfulfilled dream but with at least a chance of it working, than to try and then to fail, which would mean they no longer even have a dream. Also, talking about your dream makes it feel as though you are actually taking action but of course it is not.
It is important here to realise that it is better to try many things because then something may be successful. Even if your dream does not work this time then your next plan or dream could work very well. You can increase your chances of something being successful if you get help. With internet marketing, there are many specialists that can do complicated work from you at a good price. Fiverr.com is my preferred one although there are others.
The task you want to do seems overwhelming and you don’t know where to start. Therefore, you don’t do anything and tell yourself you will start tomorrow. The best solution to this is to break the task down to more manageable pieces. You can also get help from someone who does know how to solve your task.
In the context of internet marketing, if you want to start your own blog and you are unsure of how to do it, or simply you want a particularly well designed blog, you can hire designers and programmers from fiverr.com
If we don’t like doing something, or it appears to us to be too hard, it’s easy to procrastinate, or in other words, put it off until another time. The feeling of anxiety is unpleasant and we shy away from it. The way to stop that unpleasant feeling is to not do the task! It also follows that when we want to do things we like, then it’s easy to do them, for example putting off work and playing a computer game.
In the context of internet marketing, if the idea of starting your internet marketing business is stressful, then hire a contractor from a place like fiverr.com Even if you do have the skills required it can be quicker to let someone who does that type of work every day and who enjoys doing it, than spending time on the task yourself, when you could be doing something else.
Not having a clear goal
You might want to set up a money-making website so you focus on the idea of making money, but you really need to focus on setting up the blog.
So, don’t worry about income when you first start your blog, just think of an idea that people will be interested in and concentrate on how you can get regular visitors so that you can develop your blog into a full-time income.
If you focus on what you need to do to make the blog successful the income will come along. It does not need to take long to make a full-time income from a blog. $1000 a month within 3 months of setting up is realistic and $3000 after 6 months is common. It normally takes longer to earn the 5 and 6 figure amounts that you see around the internet. From the initial setup, it could take as long as 2 years. Now you might say you don’t want to wait 2 years before making big money but of course if someone said to you, “You could be making $100k a month but the time to build up to it might take 2 years”, wouldn’t you jump at the chance?
